January 28, 1934 and a sound-era theater next comes to the Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF) Building with the new Casino Theatre launching with “Let’s Fall in Love.” The Winklemeyers were likely at the end of a 25-year lease when they decided to purchase the Lyric from Fox Midwest Circuit in 1959. They folded their hand at the Casino with “The Beat Generation” and “The Watusi” dancing to the exits on November 17, 1959.
