The youths picture in this circa 1946 image are noted on the back of it. They are as follows (left to right):
•Frank Rutherford (teenage boy mounted on horseback-far left) •Betty Whitersack (?) •Lesley Lierson •Helen Addison •Glen Stein (young boy in doorway)
To clarify the small printing in the theatre’s front windows:
•The lower, left hand section of glass (diagonal from “McCLELLAN •HALL•” has “THURSDAY”* to the left and “NEXT WEEK” with 4 lobby cards under each (8 total)
•The lower right hand section of glass (directly under “McCLELLAN •HALL•” has “THURSDAY” with a small ones-sheet for “The Yellow Rose of Texas” (1944) starring Roy Rogers & Dale Evans
Photo Courtesy of The Denver Public Library, Western History and Genealogy Dept.
*I cannot say with 100% certainty that the word is indeed “THURSDAY” due to the glare in the glass.

Would that be the projection booth that the young people are walking under?
Trolleyguy, I’ve wondered that same thing since I first saw that picture myself as a child over 20 years ago! It has be, no?!?!? Check out the street view! Whatever it is is still there today! I really wish my car wasn’t in the shop-I’d be making a mad dash up there right now to check it out for myself!
It kills me that I’ve never noticed that; I’ve spent a lot of time over the years in Georgetown, particularly looking for that very “booth” and any other theatre-like features on the downtown buildings…
