The melodrama, “Why Girls Leave Home” is on the marquee of the Haley Theatre and Sydney Ascher decides to have this woman look lost on the streets of Newark. When people ask how they can help, she opened the case and gave them a flyer promoting the film and photoplay house. Apparently, people were very annoyed but the stunt worked circa 1921.
