The southwestern edge of the Sunset Place parking garage on the corner of US-1 and SW 70th Street (Google Maps seems to indicate it also may be SW 58th Avenue) where the Riviera Theatre once stood.

I took the photo above from the approximate location at which the photographer was standing when he took the historic photo. The railroad tracks in the foreground are gone and replaced by the elevated Metrorail tracks that I was standing under. (I probably zoomed in a little bit.)
The wall on the left of the photo was the rear of what used to be the IMAX Theatre at Sunset Place. Most recently it was an LA Fitness location that closed in March or April of 2026.
I have enjoyed entering Sunset Place through a pedestrian entrance via the opening in the first floor of the garage seen at the bottom of the photo and imagining I am walking through the space where the Riviera Theatre once stood, sensing the vibe of what had been, 100 years ago.
I then turn left and emerge at an automobile entrance to the garage, next to where the front of the IMAX Theatre used to be.
