Glenda Goyne posted on line - The 1st movie was The Broken Lance (a western) with Richard Widmark, Spencer Tracy, Robert Wagner. Our family owned the farm opposite the drive in ( where McRaes etc are) and the manager Jim Robinson paid Dad 10 pound to put a large advertising banner on our fence. We often walked over and sat in the deck chairs in summer -
