Carlisle Memorial Hall and Gardens No 2 Memorial Avenue, Carlisle, WA – Carnival time celebrated in the Memorial Hall 1932. PHOTO & Article as reported in the Western Mail newspaper, Perth WA – Thursday 18 August 1932, page 7.

Background : At the close of the war the residents of Victoria Park East, formerly known as Bickford, and since renamed Carlisle, decided to erect a hall in commemoration of the men who enlisted from the district, and on Saturday Sat June 5, 1920 the opening ceremony was performed by his Excellency the Governor, in the presence of a large assemblage.
