Photo - The Premier Gardens in 1956. A cyclone fence separated the deluxe deck chairs from the garden benches.
The Premier Theatre opened at the corner of Stirling and Bulwer streets in 1924 with 1450 seats. The nearby Summer Gardens opened in 1937 with 1800 seats. By the mid-70s both had closed.
