Last call for the National was on January 19, 1932 playing the German film, “Die Lindenwirtin vom Rhein.” They were going to reopen for a four-wall on April 1, 1933 with the exploitation film, “Mad Moments of Youth.” That was halted by the local police and Warner abandoned the lease on the building as it remained vacant through 1945.
