With no known images to hand - but based on available information - this is an artists impression of what the Palace opening advertisement may have looked like. Local builder James Best spent 2200 pounds on construction. C & W projectors were installed. The opening night program (20th January 1926) was provided gratis by First National and Universal distributors. One hundred pounds was raised for charity. The theater was officially licensed for 1,481 persons on 5th March 1926.
