Thomas A. Brown, an early moving pictures man in Cedar Rapids, takes on the Nickeldom in Des Moines and gives it one of the coolest theater signs ever. Got to love the sprockets! The cost of attendance swells to ten cents as the theater is a big hit but the name is confusing and quickly gets changed to the Unique Theatre.
