Details of the construction of the Ritz. Architect was the prolific designer of over fifty cinemas and theatres during the 1920’s & 1930’s including the Regent Dover, Prince of Wales Theatre London, which had a similar corner entrance to the Ritz and the huge Gaumont/Odeon Hammersmith with its 3,500 audience capacity, which has survived almost intact, now listed with Grade II* status.
