Kaniva Shire Hall Baker Street and Commercial Street, Kaniva, VIC

Did you know that when the new Hall was being planned in the 1920s, the Kaniva community got behind the project in a big way. The Kaniva Mechanics’ Institute ladies' committee raised nearly £2,000 towards the building — a remarkable contribution at the time. Along with a £6,000 Shire loan, this helped make the ambitious project possible.
