Feb. 24, 1972: It’s the lucky franchisees of the latest Jerry Lewis Cinema. Mohawk Cinema Corp. of Houston execs are Ted Dedesco, Jamie Brooks, Don Marshall, Mel Aronson and Max Tribble. Jerry Lewis was rumored to have been planning to come before backing out.

This group had five Houston-area theaters in the works in late 1971 with 35 (!) more planned in the subsequent two years. Don’t look them up as Jerry Lewis backed out - of the entire operation - and Network Cinema was long gone before this plan could be executed.
