Complain or e mail when you go on the weekends when American Cinematheque runs the new Egyptian. They don’t bother to open or close the new blue curtain. They just show a slide image most of the time. The Netflick guys do use the curtains during the mid week. If they want to have a slide up at least close the new Blue main drape and open on the movie and close near the end of the credits please. AC show some class. Netflick is not in the movie theatre business they live in a 16x9 streaming TV world, Now they own and have bought 3 or 4 old cinemas and have restored them nicely so their TV movies show and sound good on a big movie theatre screen for a few weeks. Most of the Netflick top brass don’t have a clue about running a movie theatre or aspect ratios ect. At least at the Egyptian they know how to use the drapes correctly. AC needs to see what they are doing mid week with SHOWMANSHIP in presentation at the Egyptian Theatre. Must be a different projection booth staff when Netflick runs the place.
