This was the last of the great “Dad & Dave” films made by Ken G. Hall and Cinesound. While a hit at the box office in Australia, it faired poorly in the UK which was enduring the Blitz. The first “Dad & Dave” film was ON OUR SELECTION (1932), followed by GRANDAD RUDD (1935) and DAD AND DAVE COME TO TOWN (1938). All were big hits.
