In June 1958 the vast bulk of the Odeon sits squarely in the way of Plymouth’s post war redevelopment. To the south on the southwest corner of the Derry’s Cross roundabout is the brand new Drake, while to the south is ABC’s Royal. To the west beyond the long gone Millbay docks branch railway is the Gaumont.
