November 2022 photo of Canterbury Windsor by Martin Jaul. After a time showing mainstream titles as Cinema 96, Arabic film screenings were later resumed at the theater, with a final closure coming in 1981. The floor was flattened and the building was converted for use as an ethnic club – a role which continues today.
