The Adelphi Theatre in North Carlton is a historic Melbourne venue famously documented on the Cinema Treasures archive. Originally opening in 1912 as the Jubilee Picture Palace, it was later expanded, renamed the Adelphi Theatre, and screened films from 1922 until its closure in 1968. Following its life as a cinema, the building located at 367 Nicholson Street went on to operate for many years as the well-known San Remo Ballroom.
