This building housed both the original Palace Theater, a storefront showing Edison-licensed films, and – in this 1922 artist’s rendering for the renamed Roos Building, would house the 280-seat Fox Theater (at the far right) named after Max Fox as well as the very successful Gus Roos men’s clothing store that got the high profile corner spot.
