Astor Theatre 659 Beaufort Street, Mount Lawley, WA - 1981 3D Movies arrive in Perth.
Comin At Ya in 3D screened at The Paris Theatre in Hay Street to record figures in 1981, and was then moved directly into the new upstairs theatre at The Astor Theatre Mt Lawley.
It’s a matter of record that The Astor was the only Perth suburban theatre willing to equip themselves with Three Dimensional split lenses, and a special screen capable of screening the new polaroid format. Business for this program was extra-ordinary.
