The $61,000 Arizonan Theater was consumed by an apparent gas explosion early May 4, 1954. As you can tell, re-opening wasn’t an option. So that makes May 3, 1954 the final night of operation with “Charge of the Lancer!” and “The Wild One" as the last screenings.
