Photograph taken prior to official opening on 4th May 1936 it shows the auditorium with decorative detail carried out by Clark & Fenn. The original Compton organ in the midst of a flower bed, behind are the well known ABC House Tabs featuring a mass of coloured butterflies. However the badly sited clocks look like an after thought.
