Showing one of a pair of stone fireplaces that had featured in the main entrance foyer, they were in the style of Italian Renaissance with decorative oak surround with three recessed mirrors, the carved oak classical heads had been overpainted in red, white, gold and blue as was the whole entrance foyer including the stone, walls and oak paneling. Fitted carpet covered the mosaic floor on which stood slot machines when this photograph was taken in 1993.
