This is a Kodachrome slide image taken by my grandfather Albert S. “Al” Johnson. Family records show that his company, Johnson Construction Company based in Birmingham Michigan, built or remodeled the theater. Beginning in 1948 Al shot slides of most of his previous theater projects and continued documenting his theater and drive-in jobs through 1953. This image was taken in June 1948.
