Here’s my photo taken on May 9, 2009, showing a boarded up Raja Theatre. I arrived in Vancouver in 2004, and so I never saw a film at the Raja. This was before the extensive renovation (which some consider to be a demolition), and the York Theatre which sits in it’s place is no longer a movie house, but is now used for theatre and is operated by the Cultch.
