Image - A single 35mm frame of an in-house promotional film that was screened at the original Panoramic Drive-in back in the 1950’s
Located in the south-east Melbourne suburb of Dandenong. The Dandenong Panoramic Drive-In opened on May 4, 1956 with Dana Andrews in “Assignment Paris”. In 1984 the drive-in closed and the property was used as a flea market. The theatre was closed as a drive-in for many years until it was re-built opening on September 19, 2002 as a twin screen drive-in named The Lunar. The re-opening films were “Austin Powers in Goldmember”, “Lilo and Stitch” and “Stuart Little 2” - notes Lost Memory.
