“The County Fair” play is a musical comedy that first opened at the Proctor theatre NYC on March 5th,1889.It ran for four years in New York City and was the longest running play of it’s time.Neil Burgess invented a mechanical turntable that horses could run at full speed and and stay in the same place on stage for the horse race scene.
