Opened in 1917 and dark since 2001, the UC Theatre in Berkeley Ca will be renovated starting this summer and reopening as primarily a music venue in 2015, although the nonprofit that will be operating the UC says that comedy, lectures and film will also be part of the format. This new marquee, the first step in the renovation, made its appearance in the last few days.
