Aerial shot which shows how MPM Development built the North Star Crossing strip shopping center around the UA 8 North Star theater. The North Star opened December of 1984 and, in its operation of just over 22 years, the theater remained a first-run house within the UA/Regal circuit during its entire existence. The post-theatrical life of the theater proved challenging as the shopping center struggled - as so many others which had similar aged multiplexes - to find an ideal tenant.
