The road show of “Song of Norway” is pictured in the background in October 1970. Norway was the third such road show booking for the Wilshire as the major movie studios looked to the “Central Zone” suburban houses such as the Wilshire, Inwood, NorthPark, Ciné, and Medallion for prestigious sneak preview and openings while downtown movie theaters with their limited parking and aging interiors crumbled.
