Interstate’s original Majestic Theater opened on October 30, 1905. But it was destroyed by fire in December 12, 1917. The operation moved to the Dallas Opera House which was renamed the Majestic while the current Majestic was completed and opened in 1921. (And the Dallas Opera House was then called the Capitol Theater and it burned down in 1921.)
