After the remodel by Trans-Texas in 1971, the charm of the original exterior was plastered over with the original marquee removed in place of a non-descript sign, the ceiling was a false drop ceiling to hide the theater’s original architecture, drapes were used to disguise the remainder of the theater’s past, but seating was reduced to 602 for wider seating.
