I lived in the apartments next to the ritz from 1946 until 1968.On the east end of the building.Directly across from the screen and sound speakers. It’s funny what you can get use to.You could hear the sound from every movie ever played there. They usually went on until 11:00 pm.It is nice to see at least one photo of the original building.I spent a “LOT” of time in the theatre. When I was a kid it was 10 cents to get in.At the far east end was a barber shop,we lived just above it a jewelry store,a tailor,a small food store,an ice cream shop that later on became a pizza parlor, then the theatre. The ritz seldom got 1st run movies.every Christmas they would run White Christmas with bing crosby. It was the only time they would have a hold out crowd and open the balcony. So many memories
