This photograph of the Regal/Odeon/Scala, was taken in May 1982 and shows the entrance to what was originally the cinema’s cafe. This became a ballroom/ dance studio and eventually was turned into an amusement arcade.

Have just read that this cinema/bingo hall is to be demolished for a new development, flats I think. Sad loss.
