Architect John O. Bond was employed as Architect for the second Carlton to be built on this site, this time it was for Lou Morris Cinemas on a much grander scale. Bond was engaged later by Morris in 1937 to build three more cinemas for him also using Mollo & Egan for the internal design and decorative schemes, they were, the Gaumont Watford, Majestic Bridgnorth and the Odeon North Watford, which had the most outstanding auditorium.
