The first film ever shown by the Italian Film Society of RI was at the Cable Car Cinema On May 19, 1981 and was Sophia Loren in her Academy Award performance, “Two Women” (La ciociara) by Vittorio De Sica, 1960. It was shown in 16mm. Later on we ran a 35mm print regularly.
