This was when the theater was still under Crown Theatres’ management, being sold to Galaxy Theatres in September 2006. I cropped the picture to have primary emphasis on the theater itself.
From what’s legible inside, there’s another neon sign (most likely stating the theatres (ex. “Theatres 1-5”), an auditorium entrance with a red digital marquee above, a seating area facing the windows with the outlook of the Neonopolis complex’s plaza, and a staircase (more theatres?)
This is probably the best we’ll ever get to seeing pictures of the interior of this ill-fated theater for a while. Somehow, I’m getting a Backrooms vibe from these pictures alone…
