Olmi’s masterpiece “The Tree of Wooden Clogs (L'albero degli zoccoli) was reprised here at the Cable Car on September 30, 1990 in 35mm. It had been previously shown in 16mm by the Italian Film Society at Roger Williams Park Museum in 1984. It had opened in 1979 at the Cinerama on Hope Street and got superb reviews.
