Most of the 35mm classic film prints they do show are mono sound. This ‘Dolby’ unit gives it a great crisp sound and bass even from one large backstage screen speaker. They do have hidden stereo surround speakers in the side walls. I hope they can repair their stereo 4 channel magnetic sound system when they show a mag stereo 35mm print. I heard one many years ago here and It sounded great in the large ‘Stanford Theatre’ auditorium. The crisp treble clear stereo sound sounded to me better then a digital stereo video print. Mag stereo prints get old and fade as there are not too many working still from the 1950’s
