The Pythian reached the end of its second 20-year leasing agreement and got new owners, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Curry, offering a naming contest in Feb. 1941. I’m thinking Pride or Lioness for the High School team or maybe the Depot for being so close to the Big Four Station or maybe Knights to honor its past or … oh… Strand won rebooting on Feb. 28, 1941.
