Newspaper Metal Paramount Oakland AD Plates
You will have to reverse this image to read. I worked as a newspaper boy for the Oakland Tribune in the late 1950’s & 60’s before I worked at the Fox Oakland & Paramount. Some of the press print people would save me the Oakland CA movie theatre metal ink plate ads that ran in the paper. Fridays had the largest display ads on many pages. I still have many to this day in my collection. Also collect the full print movie ads that had all the movie theatres around the SF Bay Area and make them into a frame display. Movie theatres don’t bother to advertise in print anymore. The film theatre ads from the 1940’s thru the 1970’s had nice art work and came in many different display sizes per inch.
