Columbia Theatre
This is the very first architectural plan by Stone Bros. in 1905 for the 1 5-floor, 1,200 room, proposed Audubon Hotel. But the $7 million price tag didn’t match the investors' wallet size (they apparently had $2 million). A financial downturn in 1907 led to new architectural plans as the building downscaled from 15 to 12 to 8 floors… and zero hotel rooms upon completion.
