Paul Brennan writes - When THE TOWERING INFERNO opened in Sydney in 1975, at the glorious PLAZA THEATRE with the 75x35ft wide curved screen, The regular daily ticket price was $4.50, which equated today to $52.00. Justified by the sumptuous luxury and 70mm screen in this truly beautiful Movie palace. Yes there are Premiere guests in red plastic fire hats who I do believe arrived on a big red fire truck.
