Embassy Cinema Peterborough
The Embassy 1958 production of ‘Glamorous Night’ performed by Peterborough Operatic and Dramatic Society. After WW2 there were many such Societies across the country, some members eventually turning professional, as did Vanessa Lee who became leading lady and recording artist in Ivor Novello tours, these were hugely popular and successful selling out to capacity audiences at the Davis Theatre Croydon which held 3900 seats during 1948.
