The Argus 23 April 1918 - The War Loan Tank, in charge of Sir Henry Weedon and Mr. Berry, of the Commonwealth Bank, arrived late on Sunday afternoon. This morning, in the presence of a large number of townspeople and several hundred children, the party officially welcomed by the shire president, Councillor S T Parker. Sir Henry Weedon made and appeal for money for the sixth War Loan and in a short space of time £1,350 was forthcoming. The party then left for Albury.
