Vogue Theatre 87 Mount Druitt Road, Mount Druitt, NSW
The hall was built in 1925 by Advancement League (Club) & used as community venue but was dilapidated by early-1940’s.
In 1946, ‘Dick’ Simpson transformed the Mount Druitt Hall into a picture theatre & named it the Vogue Theatre. In 1954, it screened Wednesday & Saturday. CinemaScope was added in 1955. In c1957, a new foyer erected on northern side of hall.
The Vogue Theatre, operated by George Henry Simpson, started showing films in the Mount Druitt hall on 5 June 1946. In 1968,the theatre closed with the last screening being held on 27 April.
