KING’S THEATRE, ASHFIELD. The King’s Theatre Ashfield, which was officially opened by Sir Charles Mar- MP last week, is the ninth picture theatre to be erected by Premier Theatres Pty Ltd.

The theatre is on the site of the old Baptist Church in Liverpool Road and cost £25 000. Features of the theatre are the modern Neon light- ing and the air conditioning plant.

The Mayor (Alderman T.Cavill) and aldermen of Ashfield, representatives of the film in- dustry, and leading citizens of the district were among the large gathering present. Guy Crick and Bruce W. Furze were the architects.
