Photograph of the Regal cinema in the holiday area of Shanklin on the Isle of Wight taken July 1958. Above the canopy is an Art Deco sunburst in Orange and yellow glazed panels which was illuminated at night. Note below at the top of the steps the entrance doors also have clear glass sunburst panels. The shops on either side were leased by the cinema owners. Boots the chemist was built at the same time as the cinema, which in the 1960’s had a new shop built opposite the Regal.
