Not a lot of pictures of downtown Sciota as it no longer exists. From what is to be gleaned from reports, we have the new E.E. Sapp Mercantile - the previous one burned down late in 1905 - where Mr. Sapp sold lumber, hardware, grain and groceries. And next to E.E. Sapp would be the opera house… to the left and not pictured. The building on the right was the last downtown building standing.. decades longer than its neighbors.
