As Manager of the Nettlefold Hall which had the facilities for showing both 35mm & 16mm films I decided to open the Nettlefold Hall cinema in 1977 as it had become too expensive for just stage performances, however, they continued at a much reduced level. Previously working for Odeon cinemas booking was not too difficult as I still had contacts within the Rank Organisation. Although the two Film Festivals in 1978 and 1980 did take a lot of effort.
